Beginning at a classic starting point (the Dunkin' Donuts in Georgetown, MA), the club members will assemble for a simple yet scenic drive over country roads at relaxed speeds. Avoiding the major routes, we will travel through a series of Massachusetts towns before A bit of fun is then on the agenda as we drive over hill and under an old railroad line, where our route will pass a point just a stone's throw from New Hampshire. Returning to the Merrimack, we will follow its course toward the sea, crossing bridges and islands before landing at Newburyport. There, we'll stop for "a walk in the park" — Maudslay State Park, that is. Here's a chance to stretch your legs while enjoying the undeveloped acreage of this once private estate. Some light refreshments will be offered while drivers and navigators savor the open air experience. Take a stroll along the river — perhaps you'll catch a glimpse of the bald eagles that nest here. We then return to our trustworthy transports for more miles of smiles. A twist ... a turn ... and down another country road for more motoring enjoyment. While it may be true that all roads lead to Rome, we shan't have to drive nearly so far to enjoy fine Italian dining! By about 1PM we'll be arriving at Joseph's Trattoria & Bakery. There, we will enjoy a delicious luncheon while sharing conversation and experiences with our fellow Alfisti. Please join us for a memorable and rewarding tour!
