Time for our winter Pot Luck "Banquet"! Yes, friends, our annual mid-winter AONE Pot Luck Dinner Party will be happening the evening of Saturday, February 13th, at 5:00 PM. I am reviving the "banquet" term from days gone by as Fred "Mr. Alfa" DiMatteo had referred to it. Once again, it'll be held at the Josiah Smith Tavern (a.k.a. The AONE Clubhouse) in Weston, MA, the venue for many of our AONE affairs over the years. It's a cozy, old, comfortable, wood-paneled, centrally-located location that's perfect for our gathering.

The dinner will again be our pot luck smorgasbord, which always produces a terrific feast. We Alfisti always come through with the assortment of scrumptious dishes that show up each year! So if you make a special dish (or can talk your significant other into making one for you), bring it along to Weston! This is an Italian car club, so Italian food is generally a central theme, but it really doesn't matter. Entrees, salads, breads, desserts — whatever gets your culinary juices flowing! There's a kitchen available to warm things up.

For our entertainment and edification afterward, just for fun, Tom Lesko will be showing some images and video clips from his recent trip to the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese. If any of you have also made the pilgrimage lately, your input would be appreciated.

But don't forget that this is mainly ... an AONE members' party! The club will be supplying some soft drinks, but if you prefer something a tad heartier, feel free to bring your own. And don't forget the door prizes! There will be lots of them, and you're more than likely to go home with some sort of Alfa-oriented trinket or treasure!

The AONE Winter Party has become a perennial institution, and we often get 40 or 50 revelers. It makes for a great way to break up the winter, and gives us faith that Alfa driving season can't be far off. Don't miss this year's celebration!

From the East: Take Route 128 (I-95) to the Weston/Route 20 exit (Exit 26). Follow Route 20 west for 1.2 miles until you reach the first set of lights. Take a right onto School Street, and travel one block to the town center. Take a left, and the tavern is a white clapboard building on the left.

From the West: Take Route 20 east. One-half mile past the Weston Police Station, you will reach a set of lights. Take a left onto School Street, and travel one block to the town center. Take a left, and the tavern is a white clapboard building on the left.
