It's Time for our annual winter Pot Luck Dinner Party and ... Swap Meet!?! Yes, friends, our annual mid-winter AONE Pot Luck Dinner Party will be happening the evening of Saturday, February 18th, starting at 5:00 PM. Once again, it'll be held at the Josiah Smith Tavern (a.k.a. The AONE Clubhouse) in Weston, MA, the venue for many of our AONE affairs over the years. It's a cozy, old, comfortable, wood-paneled, centrally-located location that's perfect for our gathering.

The dinner will be our pot luck smorgasbord, which always produces a terrific feast. We Alfisti always come through with the assortment of scrumptious dishes that show up each year! So if you make a special dish (or can talk your significant other into making one for you), bring it along to Weston! This is an Italian car club, so Italian food is generally a central theme, but it really doesn't matter. Entrees, salads, breads, desserts — whatever gets your culinary juices flowing! There's a kitchen available to warm things up.

This year, we're asking you to let us know what pot luck dish you're bringing. Please contact Tom Lesko at 781-749-9132 or tmlesko@comcast.net to let him know. You can also ask him what type of dish is needed to help balance the menu.

For our entertainment and edification afterward, just for fun, members will be showing some images and video clips from trips, projects and adventures. Comments will be encouraged! And if you have a contribution to make, contact Tom!

Additionally, we are going to do a parts, accessories and tidbits "Swap Meet" for the first hour or so, so please bring any/all things that you wish to swap, trade or sell (stopping short of complete engines, gearboxes and differentials). Please let us know if you have any other ideas for a fun mid-winter Alfa evening. Keep an eye on your email inbox for updates as our plans evolve!

The AONE Directors will be holding a business meeting prior to 5:00 and will be commenting on this year's events and the general nature of the club during the evening.

But don't forget that this is mainly ... an AONE members' party! The club will be supplying some soft drinks, water, coffee and tea, but if you prefer something a tad heartier, feel free to bring your own. And don't forget the door prizes! There will be lots of them, and you're more than likely to go home with some sort of Alfa-oriented trinket or treasure!

The AONE Winter Party has become a perennial institution, and we often get 40 or 50 revelers. It makes for a great way to break up the winter, and gives us faith that Alfa driving season can't be far off. Don't miss this year's celebration!

From the East: Take Route 128 (I-95) to the Weston/Route 20 exit (Exit 26). Follow Route 20 west for 1.2 miles until you reach the first set of lights. Take a right onto School Street, and travel one block to the town center. Take a left, and the tavern is a white clapboard building on the left.

From the West: Take Route 20 east. One-half mile past the Weston Police Station, you will reach a set of lights. Take a left onto School Street, and travel one block to the town center. Take a left, and the tavern is a white clapboard building on the left.
