Alfa Romeo Car Corral at the 4th Annual Thompson Vintage Motorsports Festival The deadline to sign up for the Alfa Car Corral and get discounted tickets is the end of the day on Tuesday, June 20th!
This unique race day will showcase a wide variety of vintage Alfa Romeo race cars, including Giulietta Spiders, Sprints, and Supers, and most likely a few pre-war models. Alfa Romeo owners are also invited to participate in their own Car Corral on Saturday, June 24. The Car Corral will cost $10 per car and, in addition to special parking privileges, will also include parade laps around the track during the lunch hour. Thompson Speedway is giving Alfa Car Corral participants a special discount on tickets! General admission ticket prices, normally $20, are just $15 for Alfa drivers and their passengers. To get this price, you must purchase your tickets through AONE by using the PayPal button below (choose the number of people in your car from the pull-down menu and click the button). Or you can send a check payable to AONE, 76 Baker Ave, Beverly, MA 01915-3540. Either way, your tickets will be waiting for you at the Thompson box office.
Make sure to indicate your and your passengers' names, and the Alfa model you'll be bringing, by clicking "Add special instructions to the seller" when you complete your PayPal payment, or in a note enclosed with your check. Deadline midnight Tuesday, June 20th! Sorry — the sign-up deadline has passed! AONE member / Giulietta racer Roger Cassin reports that, once again, he and his team will be there in the paddock flying the Alfa flag, and will have cold drinks and light snacks for anyone who stops by. But wait, there's more! After the parade laps, Alfisti from around the globe will get together for a casual cookout of hotdogs and hamburgers, hopefully somewhere in the shade! Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) has informed us that there will be an Alfa Romeo Car Corral at their 4th Annual Vintage Motorsports Festival, to be held June 22-24, 2017. The Vintage Motorsports Festival features cars from throughout the past century — from the early 1900's to the 70's — racing on the historic 1.7 mile road course in Connecticut's Quiet Corner.
