Italian Car Corral at the 6th Annual Thompson Vintage Motorsports Festival
This unique race day will showcase a wide variety of vintage Alfa Romeo race cars, including Giulietta Spiders, Sprints, and Supers, and most likely a few pre-war models. Owners of Alfa Romeos and other Italian beauties are also invited to participate in their own Car Corral on Saturday, June 22. The Car Corral will cost $10 per car in addition to your admission tickets (see below). This will get you special parking privileges, and will also include parade laps around the track during the lunch hour. Ticket prices are lower than in previous years! General admission tickets are now just $12/day or $20 for the full weekend. You can simply purchase your corral and admission tickets when you arrive at the track. To participate in the Italian Car Corral, you must sign up! This will allow us to give a list of corral participants to Thompson so your tickets will be waiting for you. AONE member / vintage racer Roger Cassin reports that, once again, he and his team will be there in the paddock, although no Alfa this time — he'll be racing a different toy. But they'll have cold drinks and light snacks for anyone who stops by. Thompson is very committed to making this a great event for all of us to enjoy. Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) has informed us that there will be a Car Corral for Alfas and other Italian marques at their 6th Annual Vintage Motorsports Festival, to be held June 20-22, 2019. The Vintage Motorsports Festival features cars from throughout the past century — from the early 1900s to the '70s — racing on the historic 1.7 mile road course in Connecticut's Quiet Corner.
