Comments: Very satisfied with the work they've
done. ∙ I broke down in my 164S in Rhode Island. The AAA
driver recommended Dublin Motors in Warwick, RI. It being a long
weekend, I was able to get in touch with the owner Jim Byrne who was
extremely helpful and courteous along with his great Irish brogue. He
was able to repair my car and called me on Sunday to pick it up. ∙
After much frustration over the years of not having a mechanic who
understood my car, to those who did but were too far away, I finally
took my car to Dublin Motorcars. Jim Byrne, the proprietor, has been
operating at this location for better than 20 years, and he was able to
sort my car out so that it should be good for another 300,000 miles or
until I'm dead, whichever comes first. An Irish mechanic! Who knew!
Comments: Joe Donato first restored my Duetto
in 1985, taking the car down to the bare metal. He told me that if the
car ever rusted just bring it back, as work was guaranteed for as long I
owned the car. Over the last 22 years he's been true to his word, as
it's been back in the shop several times for minor rust problems. About
4 years ago, he repainted the car (this I paid for). He's very proud of
his work and loves the Alfa, as he says he knows of no other car that he
has worked on that he could track for such a long period of time. Joe is
not an Alfa specialist but he knows how to make cars correct.

Comments: Russ has done a lot of machine shop
service for Jim Byrne of Dublin Motorcar Co.(see our directory for this
outfit), especially head work, so he knows Alfas. He doesn't stock Alfa
parts but will examine your needs and tell you what he'll require to do
the job. You can then order the parts for him. Russ did a valve job for
me in a total of five days, including the time it took me to order and
obtain the parts.
