Now that the weather allows use of our favorite transports, how about joining us for a quick sprint along the seacoast?
Gathering at the Dunkin Donuts in Newburyport on Route 113, we will begin by traversing the Commonwealth's smallest city and crossing the Merrimack River for points Northward. Our route will hug the coastline of New Hampshire, along a familiar roadway but without the Summer congestion and traffic that we dread. Hampton Beach, Rye, New Castle — we will enjoy each town's sea views, and then arrive in Portsmouth for our crossing over the Piscataqua River.
Over rural lanes we will twist our way through Maine, perhaps taking time for a photo-op at Nubble Light at Cape Neddick. A few more twists and turns and it will be time for brunch in lovely Ogunquit. Afterward, a stroll along the fabled Marginal Way will provide us with calendar views and quality memories before saying our goodbyes and traveling homeward.
